Regarding the note from the Direction du Renseignement Militaire (Military Intelligence Directorate) dated April 15, 1994, addressed to General Heinrich, Mehdi Ba said: "The note in question was among a batch of archives that Judge Thierry Jean-Pierre, now deceased, had been able to recover in the early 2000s. He allowed me to consult them, but I agreed not to make any copies. I therefore reproduced the document by hand. I am not aware that it was declassified in subsequent years."
