Abstract
- While a few blue helmets and Belgian paratroopers are back in Brussels today, Rwanda is on its own. The figures put forward this morning bear witness to the unspeakable massacre: the International Red Cross speaks of hundreds of thousands of deaths.
- The mandate of the Blue Helmets did not grant them any right of interference in the face of ignominy. A non-assistance to people in danger which causes in these bearers of peace an absolute disgust.
- The capital of Rwanda sinks a little deeper into horror. The fighting in recent hours has intensified in violence. The talks stalled. 3,600 Rwandan Patriotic Front rebels occupy strategic positions, but the presidential guard is still resisting.
- The chronicle of an announced genocide continues before our eyes, while every Rwandan knows today that he is a suspended death.
