- At the rate of breakdowns and punctures, the French soldiers accompany the last Sister from the Kibuye mission. Direction Kivumu, last town before the front line, 15 kilometers from the war.
- In his mission, refugees from all over the country. They advance to the rhythm of the battles.
- To make us fully understand the rout of the civilians, this Sister takes us to a class where a baby is trying to find a little rest. The Sister: "I took her there. She was born in the forest yesterday".
- Throughout the village, the crowd is waiting. The vehicles are no longer even unloaded. Seven kilometers away, nearly 6,000 people are crowded into the Nyange camp. Once again, they celebrate the French as liberators. Who are they ? The versions differ. A villager: "These are people who come from almost everywhere, all ethnic groups". A refugee: "There are no more Tutsi in the camp".
- Only war propaganda has a voice. Off camera, a Hutu engineer will drop us this little sentence: "When two elephants clash, it's the grass that suffers". Way to put the government and the RPF back to back.
Here at the Nyange camp, the grass is the refugees: there is no more food, no medicine. At the foot of a tree, a little girl is dying.
