This page dedicated to the memory of Cardinal Lavigerie recalls how his mission of evangelization was linked to European and more particularly French colonial expansion in Africa. He claimed to support civilization and the fight against slavery. This has made it possible to redeem children whose White Fathers have made Christians, catechists, rifle-bearing ascaris.
