Abstract
A journalist intervenes on facts when something happens. It describes a situation and gives voice to actors, witnesses and other protagonists. He can also provide, at the same time or later, elements of context and understanding, put these facts into perspective, analyze the issues, extrapolate on possible consequences… In theory, he has a lot of leeway. But depending on when he intervenes, according to what is asked of him, according to the type of medium (audiovisual or written) and the space he has, depending on whether he will be manipulated or not, his work may take extremely different forms. It may be a vector of information or misinformation.
