It can be inferred from the motivation sheet of the verdict of the Paris Assize Court, which sentenced Sosthène Munyemana to 24 years of criminal imprisonment in December 2023, that this former dean of the faculty of medicine indicted in Paris is none other than Alphonse Karemera. The testimony of a doctor from Butare from August 1994 already denounced this.
