Daniel Schneidermann notably formulated the following response to an initial clarification published by the association on June 4, 2025, on X: "This clarification is perfectly well-founded. This historical enormity about a 'second genocide' against the Hutus escaped me in the heat of a discussion on a subject that I had not planned to address. I am perfectly aware of its revisionist nature, and ask all those who were offended by it to accept my apologies. DS".
