Abstract
Europe is blind to the Rwandan tragedy. These archaic "inter-ethnic clashes", endorsed by an ethnographic reading from another age, are in fact very modern genocides, carried out by Hutu extremists inspired, in Rwanda and Burundi, by the same ideology Nazi type.
Comment
This article is accompanied by a small format photograph where we see piled up bodies of Rwandans. The caption states: "Byumba, April, after a massacre attributed to the Rwandan Patriotic Front". Why illustrate this article which talks about the genocide of the Tutsi with the photograph of a massacre supposedly "attributed" to the RPF? Perhaps to sow a little more doubt in the mind of the reader, who, if he does not take the time to read the article, but simply skims the title and the illustration, deduces that this "tropical Nazism" is to be attributed to the RPF.
