Care should be taken not to confuse the FAR, Rapid Action Force (of the French army) for which this document is intended, and the FAR, Rwandan Armed Forces (governmental). We note here actions of the CRAP (Research and Action in Depth Commando) type in these "coups de main behind the front line". The author of this report still considers that the RPF is the enemy and that the FAR and militias are justified in fighting it. The bias in favor of the FAR is visible in this sentence "will fight fiercely in this last redoubt". Hence this confusion maintained between the Tutsi hunted since April, that the french soldiers are supposed to rescue, and infiltrated members of the RPF, which is even made responsible for the massacres of Tutsi.
