- The continued deployment of French forces in Rwanda: the military continues to identify Tutsi communities in danger. And little by little they discover the extent of the drama. Thus in the Nyarushishi camp, in the south-west of the country, where thousands of men, women and children have huddled together to escape the massacres.
- In the Nyarushishi camp, now under French control, there are 8,000 Tutsi. Another 2,000 are scattered in the hills.
- According to local priests, this means that 45,000 Tutsi have disappeared from the Cyangugu region in southwestern Rwanda. Half would be dead, the other half would have fled to Zaire.
- In Nyarushishi many women and children. They try to survive. It's the race for food brought by helicopter.
- While patrolling the region, French soldiers discovered mass graves. Paratroopers also reportedly found church walls stained with blood.
- This morning French reinforcements arrived in the south-west of Rwanda. In all, about fifteen military vehicles from Zaire. The mission is simple: protect civilians and dismantle the roadblocks of Hutu militiamen.
- Finally, four reconnaissance operations were carried out by French troops in western Rwanda. The goal: to explain the humanitarian nature of the mission. A mission where for the moment no shots have been fired.
