Abstract
- Despite the heavy fighting, the United Nations resumed this morning the evacuations of civilians from both sides of enemy lines. But the list is long and we must move quickly because each victory on one side portends massacres on the other.
- Thus the predominantly Tutsi rebels are paying a high price for their advance on the ground. They would have taken Gitarama today, 40 kilometers southwest of the capital. This means that behind their line, every Tutsi seen in a Hutu zone will be systematically massacred.
- The killers do not even spare the children: for example, on several occasions, orphanages have been targeted in recent days. And these militiamen are everywhere, as if the government and military authorities had handed over the country to them, convinced that with their help, they could prevent an RPF victory.
- The extermination plan continues without the international community succeeding in imposing any mediation.
