Abstract
- The Archbishop of Kigali, two bishops and 13 priests were massacred by rebel soldiers tasked with guarding them. In another district of the Rwandan capital, a dozen religious were also assassinated.
- South-west of Kigali, Nyamirambo, stronghold of the Hutu militias, a roadblock every 200 meters. Armed, drugged, alcoholic, these squadrons have been sowing death and terror for many weeks.
- The Archbishop of Kigali, two bishops, 10 other priests, in all 70 people were killed by those whose mission was to protect them.
- The UN officially approved yesterday the dispatch of 5,500 peacekeepers. The principle was authorized on May 17. A long month of discussions during which several thousand people simply and for no reason lost their lives.
