Abstract
- About forty sick, injured and mutilated Rwandan orphans have arrived in Italy after being evacuated from northern Rwanda.
- These children were on their own while a real genocide is taking place in the country. According to Doctors Without Borders, inter-ethnic clashes have killed at least 200,000 people and caused the displacement of nearly two million people.
- UNICEF, for its part, insists on the risk of a cholera epidemic threatening the capital Kigali. Most of the city is deprived of water.
