Mille à deux mille soldats français pourraient participer à l'opération humanitaire

Entre mille et deux mille militaires français devraient participer à l'intervention projetée au Rwanda, a indiqué, vendredi 17 juin, à Abidjan, le ministre des affaires étrangères. Au cours de sa première visite dans un pays d'Afrique francophone en tant que chef de la diplomatie, Alain Juppé a précisé les contours que devrait prendre cette intervention.

Visiting Ivory Coast, Alain Juppé notably declared that the French intervention in Rwanda will indeed be a humanitarian operation, with force protection, to save the Tutsi population in areas held by the Rwandan militias.

In this same press conference, Alain Juppé describes as "pure and simple fabrication" the revelations of the daily Le Soir, according to which two French soldiers are at the origin of the attack.
