NAIROBI, Feb 6 (AFP) - Ugandan President Yoweri Museveni warned neighbouring Rwanda on Thursday that Uganda would retaliate if the Rwandan army continued staging raids into Uganda.

Ugandan radio, in a broadcast monitored here, quoted Museveni as saying Rwanda should solve its own refugee problems and stop blaming Uganda for its "internal failures."

Museveni was speaking in the Ugandan capital Kampala during a military parade to the mark the 11th anniversary of the founding of the ruling National Resistance Army (NRA).

He once again denied charges by the Rwandan government that Uganda backed rebels of the Rwandan Patriotic Front (RPF).

The rebels have been fighting the Rwandan government mainly in northern areas bordering Uganda since October 1990.

Museveni's warning comes less than two weeks after Rwandan troops raided a Ugandan village, killing two civilians and wounding scores of others.
